WorldSBK and WorldSSP riders’ qualifying performance can’t be matched

Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) saw incredible success this year at the beginning of the race weekends. He qualified on pole a staggering eight times, with his closest competitors for the award, Chaz Davies and World Champion Jonathan Rea, only taking pole twice each. Sykes’ efforts rewarded him with the 2016 Tissot –Superpole Award. If only he could translate his qualifying performance to his races, the World Championship could have had very different results.

In WorldSSP, current World Champion Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) was unstoppable in both racing and qualifying, resulting in the Turkish rider receiving the award for his category.
